I have worked in the media for more than ten years. The job requires a great deal of travel which ignited my incessant desire to wander. Every waking day meant doing something different and getting sent to a different location.
I started out as a researcher who looked for places, events and people whose stories we can share on television. After I’ve exhausted my relatives, friends and their friends, and the friends of their friends for stories, I would search online and in prints. The next resort would be to explore the streets to do what we call “leg work” to catch tales we can air on tv.
In 2010, I became a producer-writer and the tasks include doing interviews, writing scripts and guiding teams of editors and camera crew to produce an audio-video fit for tv airing. Most of my working hours are spent out in the field, that meant more travels and meeting more people.
My family have very humble beginnings and my work in the media exposed me to a lot of wonderful things I have never experienced before.
This is an account of my travels and day-to-day encounters. Join me as I go mile after mile to discover places, people and new adventures!
