Her daughter Jia, grew up surrounded with her collections and it didn’t take long before she too, fell in love with the cute pink cat.

They wanted to share the joy that Hello Kitty brings to them so when they decided to have their own business, they put up a salon adorned with Hello Kitty items. The entrance is inspired by old cinemas in the West and the interior is a feast to the eye; there are movie posters, photos of Hollywood stars with signatures and figures of characters we love and hate from different movies.

The ushers and food servers are wearing movie costumes. There are also costumed entertainers who will go from table to table and have their pictures taken with guests.

The ceiling is decorated with battens and lights similar to those used in studio sets, and on top of the buffet table is a huge dinosaur head from the Jurrasic Park movie.

Aside from their buffet menu, Movie Stars Café also serves ala-carte dishes including pasta and pizza, salad, desserts and special dishes with names taken from movies such as “Pitch Perfect” that iss crepe stuffed with fruits and ice cream on top and “The Goblet of Fire” which is beef stew with potatoes and mushrooms.

But their main attraction is the musical and drama production numbers. Every thirty minutes, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm, guests are treated to various performances. Professional performers entertain guests with dramas and musicals inspired by our favourite movies and characters.

The owner is a Japanese businessman, also a movie fanatic, who collects movie souvenirs and celebrity memorabilia. He decided to share his enthusiasm for Hollywood films.

Through this movie themed restaurant, our childhood dreams of meeting our favourite movie characters can now turn into a reality.
